Plan design

Actuarial
- Actuarial valuation on capitalization bases for plans registered in Quebec or at the federal level;
- Actuarial valuation for accounting purposes and preparation of the information needed to meet the reporting requirements for the financial statements of plan sponsors / employers under different accounting standards (international, Canadian, American, public sector);
- Monitoring the financial position of plans on a periodic basis (for example quarterly);
- Projection of the financial position of plans at future dates.
Plan administration
- Maintaining and updating participation data, calculation of benefits and preparation of the form outlining the available options following the termination of employment, retirement or death of a participant;
- Calculation of benefits and preparation of the form outlining the available options following the breakdown of a marriage or union;
- Preparation of annual employee benefits statements;
- Calculation and reporting of pension adjustments, past service pension adjustments and pension adjustment reversals;
- Preparation of the annual information return and other forms required by the regulatory authorities.
Assistance to pension committees and pension plan sponsors
- Organization and preparation of pension committee meetings;
- Organization and preparation of annual participants meetings;
- Review and advise on the preparation of the financial statements for the pension plan;
- Analysis and drafting of investment policies, monitoring of investment performance and risk analysis with respect to the proportion of liabilities to assets;
